Sukra Jewellery in North Mada Street, Mylapore, had the rare

privilege distinction and blessing of making all the silver vessels

and puja items for the prana prathishta of Lord Ram temple at

Ayodhya held on Jan 22.

The Hamsa (annapakshi) haarthi used by the Prime Minister

Narendra Modi to Lord Rama at the sanctum sanctorum on the

day of prana prathishta was also made by Sukra Jewellery.

The famous silver items shop established in 1979, received the

orders to manufacture all temple needs at Ayodhya such as

Sadosha upachara set consisting of flag, mini Umbrella mirror,

ven samara etc.

The firm also supplied assorted haarthi such as five layers with

108 wicks, Nakshatra haarthi with 27 wicks signifying 27 stars

and other silver vessels and puja articles required for daily use

at the temple

The firm also made Siruk Sruvam at 1 ½ feet in silver to pour

ghee at the haven and abhishekam sangu (conch) miniature

bow and arrow and dozens of other silver ware for use daily

during the pujas at the temple.

Sukra Jewellery supplied a total of 14 kilos of silver ware worth

Rs 12 lakhs which were processed and delivered to the temple

through MM Jewellery in Virugambakkam in Chennai.

These items were specially hand crated under the supervision

of Founder- Chairman of Sukra Jewellery A Kalki Raju and CEO

Nithin Kalki Raju – in about 45 days in pure 92.5 pure highest

quality Silver.

An emotionally moved Kalki Raju says it is purely a divine

intervention that they got the order from the Trustees through

MM Jewellers.

”We were blessed abundantly to do the puja items to Lord

Rama. What else we need in life than this great blessing of Lord

Ram. We ensured that highest quality silver was used and

engaged special craftsmen to make the temple wares,” Raju

says.

Nithin Kalki Raju says that he was happy to make and present

the items to the temple on behalf of 140 Crore Indians. “It’s a

proud day for Mylaporeans and we were truly blessed.”
