B Ramakrishnan gets CEM-Edu Award

B. Ramakrishnan, president of BRK SOFT in Nandanam

was presented with the prestigious CEM-Edu Award 2024

at a gala function at Tamil Virtual Academy auditorium in

Kotturpuram last week.


The event was held in association with Makkal Kural and

Trinity Mirror evening newspaper by ARPR Events and

the award was bestowed on Ramakrishnan for his

contribution to the faculty of Commerce as an educator


The award was presented to Ramakrishnan by V Nanda

Kumar, Commissioner of Income Tax in the presence of

Dr K Maran, Professor and Director of Department of

Management Studies Sai Ram Institute of Management

Studies, Dr J Khaja Sheriff, Professor and Head,

Management Studies, University of Madras and

Jeevanandam, director of Makkal Kural and Trinity Mirror

Group of Newspapers.

The event recognized 46 top educators from government

school teachers to university faculty members for their


valuable contribution in shaping the future generation of

business leaders.


Commerce, economics and management studies drive

changes in economy and in the society and have not

been recognized so far for their contribution. “They were

not celebrated much and their pioneering work had gone

largely unnoticed, said the organizers of the event


The event was attended by professors and heads of

department of commerce, economics and business

administration in government colleges and private

educational institutions.


BRK SOFT in Chennai in partnership with National Skill

Development Council (NSDC) Government of India has

launched job-oriented skill development programs for

freshers – final year undergraduate students such as B

Com and BBA and first and second year post graduate

students like M Com and MBA, working professionals and

technocrats


The 20-hour one-month course will help the participants

get a job in banks, Non Banking Finance Companies

(NBFCs), Private Equity, Venture Capital and Mutual Fund


companies, corporate finance consulting and equity

research assignments.


To add value to the program National Skill Development

Corporation (NSDC) Government of India has approved

the program under non-funded partnership scheme


The certificates will be jointly issued with NSDC. The

program is designed for final year UG students, first and

second year PG students, working professionals and

technocrats and non-finance professionals.

After completing the program, the trained freshers are

expected to possess good analytical skills and will be able

to identify the fundamental financial strength and

weakness of the organization

They will be able to suggest alternate method of funding

and optimize cost of capital, structure investments and

financially reengineer the organization if required


These trained freshers will be ready for employment in

the finance department of corporate business houses,

banks, NBFC, Financial institutions for preparing proposal

for approval, self- employed for helping corporate in

raising funds from debt and equity markets.
