Maha Kavi Bharathi competitions

PS Higher Secondary School’s 1975 SSLC batch alumni in

association with the school had conducted an inter-

school competition on Maha Kavi Bharathi at the school

premises in Mylapore.

The competitions include recitation, oration, essay

writing, drawing and fancy dress from class four to 10.

The event conducted over a period of three days

attracted about 300 students from over 20 schools in

South Chennai. Maha Kavi Bharathi’s books were

distributed to all the participants

Prize distribution will be held on Dec 11 at the school

being the 142nd birth anniversary of the great nationalist

poet. The competition was dedicated to the memory of

Ashok Iyer a 1975 batch mate who passed away in Feb

2023, according to Shankar T Gopalakrishnan,

coordinator for 1975 SSLC batch.
