JERA Day celebrated

Jeth Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association celebrated JERA Day at Narayani Ammal Kalyana Mandapam
in RA Puram last week with a view to promoting the latent talents of children and the youth.
There was a children’s painting collection and exhibition at 3 PM; ‘Anybody can draw’ demo session for
children by S Shivkumar between 430 and 530 PM followed by the commencement of formal function
with prayer song by the students of Hema Ramachandran at 6 PM.
There was a presentation for ten minutes on Jera activities followed by honoring of teachers for their
contribution to the society. There was a classical dance by Ananya, Srilekha, Gladys Felicia and Srinidhi
and at 7 PM there was a presentation by Ekadaksha and at 7 30 PM Violin recital by Medha and Yuktha.
There was an interesting Quizzards Quiz on Mylapore by Balakrishnan. Ravi Nandyala president of JERA
had made all the arrangements for the function Residents of Jeth Nagar honored hard working
community of 12 Urbaser Civic workers on the eve of Deepavali with gift hampers of shirt, saree and
sweets boxes.
