New Year greeting card exhibition in Alwarpet

An exhibition of the Christmas and New Year’s Greeting Cards from
Russia was inaugurated in the South India for the first time by
Alexander Dodonov, Director of Russian Center of Science and Culture
of Russian House and Vice Consul of the Consulate General of Russia at
the Russian Center in Alwarpet last week. The exhibition is open for the
visitors till Jan 15.
The Christmas and New Year’s Greeting Cards Exhibitions were from
the State Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin & Mikhailovskoye in Russia.
A greeting card helps connect and congratulate each other dear to us
for more than 200 years. In every household in Russia, you will find
these old and very dear to hearts greeting postcards with wishes and
touching words, says Dodonov.
The exhibitions from the State Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin
& Mikhailovskoye at Russian House in Chennai is a perfect complement
to the festive season, creating a nostalgic and joyous experience, he
says.
The exhibition greeting cards and postcards of different years from the
fund of the youngest department of the State Museum-Reserve of A.S.
Pushkin & Mikhailovskoye- the Museum Post Office.
The State Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin and Mikhailovskoye is a
museum complex dedicated to Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, the
founder of modern Russian literature. The museum is located in Pskov
District in Northwestern Russia. K Mohammed Ibrahim Khaleel, former
regional director of ICCR were among the guests attended the inaugural
event.
