The valedictory function of "Abhirami Anthadi: Iyalum Isaiyum" the YouTube series of famous

Carnatic Musician Dr. Gayathri Girish was held at TAG P.S Dakshinamurthy Auditorium in PS

Higher Secondary School in Mylapore last week.

Padma Shri awardee Aruna Sairam, Issaikavi Ramanan, Bharatanatyam exponent Jayanthi

Subramaniam and Advocate orator K Sumathi were the guests of honour at the event.

Prize winners of the inter-school music competition conducted recently on the Abhirami

Anthadi, were awarded. There was a Bharatanatyam presentation of a few verses of the

Abhirami Anthadi by Sumithra Subramaniam, disciple of Jayanthi Subramaniam

Invocation was by competition prize winners followed by Welcome address and Project Recap –

by the Core Team, Video screening and presentation of a few verses of the Abhirami Anthadi by

competition prize winners

All the 100 verses of the Abhirami Anthadi rendered by Dr Gayathri Girish in this project can be

viewed on her YouTube channel "Gayathri Girish Official" Music has been composed by Dr

Rajkumar Bharathi and the essence of each verse has been eloquently conveyed by Marabin

Maindhan Muthaiah. 

Set to the tune by Dr Rajkumar Bharathi and rendered by Gayathri in different ragas and talas,

the visuals for the episode had been recorded at temples including Thirukkadaiyur Abhirami,

Thirumeychur Lalithambigai, Kanchi Kamakshi and Thiruvarur Kamalambigai.

Dr. Gayathri Girish, through an AV presentation outlined how this project was conceived,

explained the journey over the past 1.5 years and the efforts put in by the team led by Dr

Rajkumar Bharathi. The dignitaries applauded Dr Gayathri for the painstaking efforts taken in

bringing out the work. All the attendees were given specially procured Vibudhi-Kumkum

prasadham from the Thirukkadaiyur Abhirami temple.
